There is so much chaos going on all over the world today. Bad news has become the order of the day causing people to live in great fear and anxiety without any hope. Life without hope is meaningless because hope is the fuel that keeps us going even in the midst of difficult situations. It’s that shining light at the end of the tunnel.

One of the strategies of the devil is to cause us to lose our hope and zeal to fight, thereby forfeiting the abundant life that Jesus died for us to have. In the midst of the chaos, here’s what your heavenly father wants you to know:
For God wanted them to know that the riches and glory of Christ are for you Gentiles, too. And this is the secret: Christ lives in you. This gives you assurance of sharing his glory.”- Colossians 1:27
Everlasting Hope
Christ is our everlasting hope, he is our guarantee of living a victorious and abundant life. One day while studying this verse the Holy Spirit gave me a scenario:
There are insurance/ assurance companies around the world whose aim is to provide a means of protection from loss. Once one is registered with any of these companies and keep to their policies, they are guaranteed some kind of monetary compensation in the event of a loss.
In the event of a disaster, those with insurance are covered, all they required to do is file a claim and based on the contract that was signed, these companies are required by law to pay that which was promised. In the same way, as citizens of the kingdom, we must file our claim by faith through prayer to receive all that Christ paid in full for us to have.
I was conversing with someone and they made it clear that they would never consider a job that does not include some type of insurance as part of their employee benefits because life is too unpredictable.
This statement reminded me of how risky it is to live without the guarantee of the promises of God. Having the kingdom guarantee is great but it would be of no use if we choose not to make a claim to it when the need arises.
Times of uncertainty and despair are times to stand firm in faith remembering that we have hope and we have help.
